How we did it...

3 standard cold shoes built in
Over sixty ¼”-20 holes - 9mm/18mm spacing; ⅜”-16 holes on all faces
Integrated NATO rails on top and sides, compatible with 3rd-party components

This is a product designed from use within the field, developed over time from years of prototypes. This camera cage comes from a love of efficiency. No one likes to set stuff up.

Setup/teardown obstacles to efficiency. To solve the problem of typical universal cages, we’ve designed ours to make configuration/setup faster than ever before. Everything was designed for efficiency.

He used hand-made equipment for years and other filmmakers would approach him to inquire about the product. The original designs started as cardboard cutouts made by hand and a drill press.

Compatible with quick-release receptors for 501 Manfrotto/Sachtler and Arca-Swiss plates
Compatible with lens adapters, e.g. "Speed Booster", with tripod foot attached.
Optional lens adapter spacers allow securing lens adapters to cage via most common tripod plates
Compatible with all NATO top handles and NATO clamps from such companies as Zacuto, Red, Wooden Camera, Movcam, ProMediaGear, etc.
Multiple ¼” and ⅜” holes on baseplate to mount tripod quick release plates
Modular design allows the cage to have multiple configurations and allows for future mod-kits and add-ons.
